Dress Code

The District's dress code is established to teach grooming and hygiene ,prevent disruption, and minimize safety hazards. Students and parents may determine a student's personal dress and grooming standards, provided that they comply with the following:

  • Belts must be worn at the waist and the waist of the garment may not be larger than one size above the actual waist size of the student.

  • Sagging or wearing of pants below the waist and/or in a manner that allows underwear or bare skin to show, and the "bagging" or the wearing of excessively baggy pants with low hanging crotches are prohibited.

  • Shorts and skorts that are deemed inappropriate by the principal or designee are prohibited
    Caps and hats are prohibited in all school during school hours.

  • No rips or tears in clothing; ragged out jeans or shirts.

  • No blouses or shirts that do not cover the midriff.

  •  Shirts and blouses should be long enough to keep the stomach and back area covered when arms are raised above the head.

  • Clothing and accessories with pictures/writing that has a double meaning----one being inappropriate and/or disrespectful, or writing or pictures distracting or deemed inappropriate by the teacher, is prohibited.

  • Clothing that depicts wrestling or entertainers who play music with lewd lyrics is prohibited.

  • Undergarments such as boxer shorts or sports bras may not be worn as outer garments, nor should they be visible at any time.

  • :Overalls must be worn with both straps fastened at the shoulder at all times.

  • Heavy chains attached to wallets or backpacks, or worn as bracelets, anklets, or necklaces are prohibited.

  • Unconventional hair colors or hairstyles causing distraction or disruption are not permitted.
    Tattoos must be covered at all times.

  • Excessively long shirts and excessively long belts are not permitted.

  •  Shirts should not be longer than fingertip length if worn out.
